Beijing–Taipei High-Speed Rail Corridor : ウィキペディア英語版 | Beijing–Taipei High-Speed Rail Corridor
The Beijing–Taipei High-Speed Railway Corridor (), also known as Beijing-Fuzhou Passenger Railway () due to the political status of Taiwan, is a proposed high-speed railway corridor, connecting Beijing and Taipei, in Taiwan. The railway will share track with Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway between Beijing and Bengbu; between Bengbu and Hefei, it is known as Hefei–Bengbu High-Speed Railway; between Hefei and Fuzhou, it is known as Hefei–Fuzhou High-Speed Railway, now under construction; between Fuzhou and Pingtan Island on the western side of Taiwan Strait, it will be known as Fuzhou–Pingtan Railway; from Pingtan to Hsinchu, an undersea tunnel has been proposed by the Chinese government; from Hsinchu to Taipei, it would share track with Taiwan High Speed Rail. Due to a lack of interest and political concerns by the Taiwanese government, the portion of the railway headed to Taiwan seems unlikely to be constructed and has no set start date. == References ==
